1. Information we collect

When a parent or guardian registers a child, we collect:

• About the child: full name, grade and school name.
• About the parent or guardian: mobile number (WhatsApp) and email address.
• Payment details: the amount, and the Razorpay order and payment reference numbers. We never receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Technical data: your IP address when you submit a form, used to prevent abuse and fraud.
• Messages: anything you send us by email or WhatsApp.

Other forms on the site (such as demo or workshop requests) collect the details you enter in them, such as a name, school, phone number and email.

2. How we use it

• To register the child, confirm the payment and send the confirmation and submission details.
• To run, judge and announce the competition, and to contact winners.
• To support you, answer questions and process refunds.
• To keep the website and payments secure and to meet legal and accounting requirements.
• To tell you about AI4Skool programmes you may be interested in. You can opt out of this at any time.

3. Children's information

We collect a child's information only through their parent or legal guardian, who gives consent when registering. We use it only for the competition and the purposes above. We do not show a child's full name, photograph or school publicly without the parent or guardian's consent, and we do not use children's information for behavioural advertising.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site:

• Razorpay, to process payments.
• Amazon Web Services, which hosts our website and database (in India) and sends our emails.
• Internal tools such as spreadsheets used by our team to manage registrations.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and safety.

5. How long we keep it

We keep registration records for as long as needed to run the competition, handle queries and refunds, and meet legal and tax obligations, then delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your information earlier.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to registration records. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You may, at any time, by writing to us:

• ask what information we hold about you or your child;
• ask us to correct or update it;
• ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent;
• ask us to stop sending marketing messages.

We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable Indian data protection law.

8. Cookies and similar technology

We use only what is needed to make the site work, such as remembering that you have already seen the intro screen in your browser session. Our payment provider may set its own cookies when you pay.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
